PS2 has five 10M sellers, Wii has seven. Within those seven two are bundled with hardware, but it doesn't really matter since Wii will have many more 10M sellers in the long run.

Two of PS2's 10m sellers (GT3/4) were also bundled with hardware. Also, all PS2's 10m sellers were from Sony or Rockstar (and from 1 franchise each), so it's not like there's much 3rd party diversity there either.

Those 2 were only bundled for a short time. Except for Japan WiiSports has been bundled since the beginning. WiiPlay also counts as 1 of the 10m sellers and people bought a controller with a game packed in. Great ploy for Nintendo to get WiiPlay in the top 10 week after week month after month, but not worthy of praise for producing a game worthy of selling 1 million let alone 10 million.

GT3, while it was bundled in summer 2000, was basically the only SKU in America though thanks to shortages. If you wanted a PS2 that summer, you had to get one with GT3... I think that's in part why it's US sales are so inflated compared to the rest of the series.
Wii Play and Wii Sports probably would've sold 10m stand alone imo. Of course, both likely would've been budget priced at launch too on their own (as Wii Sports was in Japan).

So what that added maybe 1 million to GT3 sales that summer. Whose sales counts we going by anyway with GT3. NPD doesnt count bundled software in thier totals. Dont know what Sony does when they announce software sales.
Hysterical that you think WiiPlay would have sold 10m. Maybe if it was $10.

The bundle continued past those months too though, into fall/holiday 2000. I haven't seem an NPD ltd for GT3 in awhile, but iirc it was around 5m, meaning about ~1m bundle sales are the least it probably had given it shipped over 7m in North America.
I think Wii Play would have been $20 stand alone, or maybe the mini-games would've been broken up and sold a-la-carte as 200-500 point WiiWare games. As is, it essentially was a $10 game, and sold accordingly. If it was $10 stand alone, it'd have still sold over 20m copies.
