1) Review copies have nothing to do with it. You have to find footage you're allowed to use. Not easy.
what footage are you talking about, taking the footage is easy
and if devs are providing you copies to review then you should have the rights to use footage from the game
2) Yes, but who's going to design the graphics?
any of the site admins could or any of site's work force
now don't tell me that they don't know how to design graphics but know how to run this site
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCoZtgH5yKQ
there are not many graphics in the above video and even those are reuded over and over again and the rest is just game footage
3) Of course. That's the easy bit. But the site won't be getting hits. How many people from outside the site are going to come here to watch video reviews, when they can go to established reviewers and get a much better quality video?
you are never an established reviewer fromt he get go,you have to become one
and what the hell do you mean by better quality video
IGN still uses shit video quality, don't known about their premium subscibers and if you use youtube and embed it into your review article then it will be free and you can get it into the best quality
4) Please link to where you can get one of those for $10. For one thing, they'll only work on PC and maybe the HD consoles. For another, playing through to the point in the game which you want to show is a pain.
alrite i could find anything for $10 but i have seen them for $18 before fod SD video
the ones i seached now were for $80 and $120 for HD
but still that not that expensive when the site is making back the money
about playing from the paoint again, its not that dificult as you can keep the recorder wroking when you play and as it is before posting a review, you have to explore the areas in the game again to check if you missed something
5) Then they're bad video reviews.
6) GameSpot, IGN and GT are massive review sites. They have central offices, press contacts in every company, review copies for every game, full-time, fully-paid staff, proper video equipment and a huge fanbase. Don't compare us to them. Most of those YouTube reviews are really shoddily done.
i am not comparing, just saying that we have to start doing them.
and there are many youtubers that doing it very good
and also you don't have to do video reviews for every game but just a few of the top ones
Again, if you would be willing to do a video review, and to be a reviewer, contact Naz and sign up. I signed up for this job to be able to write reviews, not spend hours video editing them
i have been thinking of it,i have exams next month.i will make a sample after that
