thanks for telling us,

how much does that telly cost then and you need a 3d bd player do you,how much is that

personally i'm more interested in 3d games than movies, they seem to have more effect/difference

unless i see a 3-d movie at a proper 3-d cinema it doesn't seem worth it,but maybe thats just me

what about when people are round does everyonme get a pair os 3-d specs, lol

50" I already  preordered it :D

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-PN50C490-50-Inch-720p-Plasma/dp/B003XDU6EQ/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1282155641&sr=8-17

There is absolutely no reason why anyone would buy that TV...when they can buy this one for the same price.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Mitsubishi - Home Cinema / 65" Class / 1080p / 60Hz / 3D DLP HDTV/9975609.p?id=1218204532577&skuId=9975609

Both TVs do 3D in 720p except the mitsubish one annihilates the Samsung when it comes to response time, size and refresh rate.

But that's a fat rear projection TV isn't it?

Yes I'm serious. I still have a 19 inch standard T.V. If you have the money, then bye all means bye whatever T.V. you want. Having a high-end T.V.  just isn't my priority, when I have to pay for bills, food, etc, etc. Not everyone can afford such luxury items. lol

It can't be hung on a wall but its not nearly as "fat" as you think. Its 15 inches fat at the base and then it keeps narowing down the further up you go.

It is also only 60 lb (60 inch model). A lot of 50 inch plasmas are heavier than that.

I wish I had 2 grand laying around....Hmm, if i skip a mortgage payment or two...

I would need a magnifying glass to be able to read anything on a 19 inch TV.

$1000 ain't that much. It only averages to $10 a month during the lifetime of the TV.

I wonder why they don't sell them here in Scandinavia. I haven't seen a rear projection TV in electronics stores here in almost ten years.

Yeah this is weird.

Its funny cause I've seen people that imported these TVs from America to EU and have bought Nvidia 3D vision to use on the TV...only to realize that one of the cables which comes with 3D vision in America, to make them work with these TVs is not foind in the European 3D vision box package.

Its a shame cause these TVs are great. I wont part with mine till it goes.

Actually this weekend I moved my 2 year old Samsung 3D LED DLP to the bedroom and set up a 3D projector and 92 inch screen in the game room. I'll post pics one of these days... 1100 dollars spent and it will blow your mind.
