Forums - Sony - MASS EFFECT 2 (PS3) Confirmed - Jan 2011!

Whatever the solution, im sure they arent going to release a product that feels like it is missing a part of it, that would be nonsense for a developer like Bioware. They need to re-work the game anyway in order to release later on PS3. Not saying it will not be better to play on Xbox/PC, just saying that I dont think it will be as worst as some are implying.

Can both ME1 and ME2 fit on 1 blu ray disk? If yes, than why doesnt Bioware include ME1 as well?

also, where are all the meltdowns? i came here, hoping to see some flamewars and ranting, but everyonbe is pissed about ME1. We should be happy that ME franchise is coming to the PS3 at all...can some one direct me to some comment section or forum discussion with the little more ranting?

I still think the FF13 multiplat announcement was more of a meltdown :) I never did care about Mass Effect.... I do admit it looks/plays like a great game though.

Eh, the Bioware forums are exploding right now as we speak. Cries of treason and complaints about the lack of the first game.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

You know people, just my point of view on this about the whole ME2 is bad without ME1 business.

I'm pretty sure BioWare and especially Dr Ray Muyzka and Dr Greg Zeschuk aren't dumb. Even if EA forced them to make ME2 on PS3, BioWare would work out a way so that PS3 only players can start off the Mass Effect Series with ME2 including bits and pieces from ME1. They'll work out a way. If they don't, then you'll probably won't get the same experience as playing ME1 and ME2.

I think you missed the part of the thread in which MS confirmed that ME1 isn't coming to PS3. I'm sure Bioware and EA would like to bring both games to PS3 for continuality and monetary reasons but it doesn't seem to be up to them.

ME2 did not sell the way EA and BW wanted, so they are porting it, it's their best rated game in over 10 years so we can't blame them. The whole carry over you save file from ME1 is a flawed idea from a business point of view, because all you end up doing is  capping your sales potential to the gamers that bought the first game in the series. I expect that factor of the game to be removed  for sales reasons, fan boys be damned.

How dare BW and EA try to expand their audience without their loyal fans support :-/ .
The BW developers must feel disgusted by all the pathetic doom comments their "loyal fans" are making on the Cerberus forums, because EA/BW view these fans as just selfish cock blockers that really dont care about the company doing what is necessary to expand their business.
And unless you are a complete fool you do not need ME1 to understand ME2, I played the serise backwards, when I got to ME1 after playing ME2 I felt like ME1 was borning and unnessary.
