i'm sure when the consoles install base increases substantially, maybe 2012, the next big FPS, or GT could well hit 10m. theres nothing else really, uncharted 2 and god of war 3 will be lucky to hit 5 mil imo. so the only other i thing i think will come close is killzone 3, which i think could end up at 6.5-7 mil lifetime. the FF series has lost a lot of popularity recently so i dont see the next one reaching the 7-8 mil benchmark.

Modern Warfare 2 will reach it, Gran Turismo 5 is likely to reach it and then I expect one more title to reach it. There will definitely be something huge, be it another Call of Duty or GTA. A surprise title?

It would take the game to sell to over 25% of all PS3 owners. Given that a proportion of people use their PS3 exclusively for Blu Ray movies I think even GT5 will struggle.

MW2, maybe GT5, Resistance 3 and Medievil. You all watch and see. I'd include Jak 4, but apparently a large proportion of PS3s are being used exclusively as Blu Ray players, so there's no chance.
