When the site switched over I was a Lv6 Old Guard, now im a Lv 5... we can lose points? or was the points system stealth adjusted?

ioi did mention there will be a change in the point system

We've rebuilt the entire backend of the site (for a number of different reasons) so many features have been removed for the time being while they are reworked, improved and re-added. It'll take time (end of September probably) but it is happening.

The rough plan at present is:

gamrReview - full game pages (including sales, cheats, FAQs, user reviews etc) - end of August
gamrConnect - forum revamp, points revamp, profile completion, badges, gamrRewards, missing features readded - mid September
VGChartz - graphing tools, VGChartz Pro - end of September

So as ever, please be patient - things are coming.

The point values definitely haven't changed, so it's not that. There might have been a level realignment that I'm not aware of, but other than that, nothing should have changed... (Though I'm pretty sure I've never been a level 6...)

Yes you can lose points. For example, you lose some every time someone submits a banner that replaces one previously submitted by you.
