You can buy a 360 for $150. But its the obsolete model. Hence, there will be sales spikes when Slim models hit the $150 mark.

Also, sales will remain strong if MS and 3rd parties keep supporting it.

I still remeber the time when PS3 fans were ridiculed for using the "just wait until" phrase. Funny that 360 users like to use it so much since Natal/Kinect was revealed.

The "just wait" thing... Sony fans were under the assumption upcoming PS3 games would destroy the 360 and create huge sales. Never happened. Many price cuts were the best thing that ever happened to PS3 sales.

I'm sorry but Kinect won't be a massive hardware mover, and neither will Move. Will they cause a slight boost? Sure... but everyone acts like they're going to cause a 250% increase in sales the week of release. Its not going to happen. Obviously they've got balls big enough for the lame to swing from, though.

 

Only if Kinect is bundled directly with consoles might you see a 50-75% increase in console sales when Kinect releases.

I guess I was a bit vague. No console will see a 250% increase in console sales come the holidays. All consoles will see a 50 to 100% increase due to software, Kinect and Move included.
