Dude Crysis 1 blow uncharted 2 away ... not Pc here we all know pc is better...

and yet you said that gears 3 is going to be the best looking game this gen.

you sir are smart!

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions bro.

obviously you didnt understand what i ment.

he made a thread saying that gears 3 will have the best graphics this gen.

then he said that pc is "better", meaning that the pc has better graphics then consoles, hence disagreeing  with his post stating that gears 3 will have the best graphics. yes he talks about uncharted 2 but you can substitute and put gears 3 instead since both are console games.

lol, thus is the reason why you never make a "best anything" thread. There is so much room for doubt and error.

true.i didnt mind the thread it brought some life to the forum.

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

Please please PLEEEEEASE, someone answer me with a valid point of how such and such game is graphically superior to Uncharted 2 and can be found on another console other than the PS3. I really want to find a game that is superior to it but can be found on maybe say the PC or the 360.

There are many games that look superior on the PC. Even console games like Battlefied BC 2 running on DX11 PC look better than Uncharted 2.

Here are some of the reason why PC version Metro 2033 looks better.

Texture detail - Metro 2033 uses 2048^2 texture size...Due to PS3 ram memory limit, Uncharted 2 doesn't even have half that. Put both games on a 1080p 60 inch TV and you see the drifference in textures.

Frame rate - if you have the hardware you can have metro running 60 fps. Once you get used to 60fps gaming, 30 fps looks crap.

DX11- tesselation and filter effect that DX11 do are quite beyond any console game.

Lighting - Even the 360 version of Metro 2033 has some really impressive lighting effects but the PC version has best indoor lighting effect on any game. Smoke, gas, fog, particles...all comes to life.

I will admit that Uncharted 2 is an amazing achievement on the limiting hardware, and is much better optimized than any PC game. PC hardware 10X more powerful than PS3 can run a game like metro 2033 that doesn't look anywhere close to 10X as good...

Thats exactly why im scared of building a gaming PC. I dont want to comprimise my console experience.

lol, you really shouldn't think like that.

I mean games should be played based on fun factor not visuals.

Like me and my 2 buddies have been playing that new Castlevania on xbox live all weekend...and the game looks like utter crap graphically. At the same time, Starcraft 2 is sitting on the side and waiting for me to pick it up again...and it looks really good.

Only when you play games which are available on both PC and consoles, like MEtro 2033... you do feel like you are playing a retarded twin brother version when playing the console version. :)

I didnt mean graphically. It's just that ive gotten used to my ps3 so my first priority for gaming is my ps3. i still play old console, i pluged in N64 about a month ago cuz i felt like playing thru paper mario again, but i remember beating it within a week when i was a kid and right now a month later i only have 4 stars and play it every now and then. My point being i still enjoy past gen games but i'd rather play the latest. PC would become my first priority since games would run overall better.

Graphics? No the fact that games would run better. If i were into graphics i would own KZ2, HR, GodoW3 but no. i have nothing against those games as i have borrowed them and they are fun but i prefer others. for example im currently playing Ratchet and Clank Future AIT, and im loving it.

Even if PC can run games better, there are still games being actively developed for PS3. You could just balance your time between the two.

Not all games are available for PC, so depending on your taste in games, PC may not cover everything, regardless of how capable any hardware you build may be.

Although it's understandable for some if you spend well over $1000 on a PC (to say nothing of top end $2-3k builds) built primarily as a gaming platform that they would insist on playing more games on PC out of principle.

But if you have a capable PC, it is a much harder sell to continue playing multiplatform releases on a console considering console copies typically cost $10 more on release and will always play at a lower frame rate and limited resolution.

Personally, I have a hard time buying console ports for this reason unless they happen to be heavily discounted and I just don't care enough about the difference in visuals and performance. Often, I end up buying both console and the PC version later when it's discounted on Steam.

But despite what any PC gamer would have you believe, console gaming is still more convenient as there is a lot less to tinker with in terms of installations and settings, both hardware and software. Yes, there are installations and updates on consoles, but the process is generally one button press.

Also if you're used to gaming on a big screen HDTV, it is a lot less convenient to use it with a PC since the primary controller is mouse and keyboard. Even with a wireless set up, you still need a lap table or keyboard cart, or have to switch from keyboard/mouse to controller if you use a game pad for PC gaming. I haven't used the HTPC hooked up to my HDTV in months and prefer to use the one at my desk for gaming.

But currently the ideal way to game on PC is not on a big screen HDTV anyway, but on multiple monitors (at a computer desk unless you have a nice multi-monitor array stand), which simply isn't available on console.

Everyone has different tastes and preferences though. I think anyone who simply prefers the typical living room console experience would be less likely to convert to PC as their main gaming platform.

The things I would give for Xbox 360 to support 3 monitor surround display...

I'd buy 3 consoles, have 3 copies of Halo Reach and be a happy camper for the rest of my life. :)

Halo 1 on PC does 3 monitor surround for christs sake...and that was a butchered port.

Considering that Forza 3 can do this on the 360...I don't see why MS wouldn't try withy other games.

Come on MS...remember your PC roots!
