Almost? The original Xbox did apparently did 24 million. Considering the 360 sells about 10  million units a year. 40 million in NA a lone is gonna happen.

Sorry I meant 25 million in the Americas alone. That's almost the sales of a standard console.

25 million worldwide is obviously nothing.

40 million X360s in America would be fantastic. Real PS2 numbers! I hope it's doable like you say, my son.

Well with the 360 slim arcade coming and Halo Reach (with a special edition console) I fully expect 360 to get there first.

My predictions: Xbox 360 will get there in8-9 weeks and the PS3 will get there in 10-11 weeks

I think people forget that sales normally start to pick up as the summer slump ends. With a 10k-20k boost from the Madden bundles this week PS3 should get there by the first week of September.
