@sinha:

So, you haven`t answered my question.. how sad. =)

About Indina, it`s like 1,3 bln. people. 10% = 130 mln. If 10% are rich people, they easy can afford to buy ps3. =]

Every 5 seconds on earth one child dies from hunger...

PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

By "rich", I assume you mean about 1/3rd of the average American salary.

That's still not nearly enough to be able to afford the PS3 in large numbers. A very select few in that country have that kind of disposable income. Combine that with a lack of gaming history in the country and you realize just how silly that 500k number is.

Why you don`t want THAT much, that PS3 would succeed? =))
And again with 670 consoles in whole year, you sound like a fool.

Even though it's likely it's more then 670  PS3's have been sold it's clear to everyone else here that no where near half a million PS3's have been sold in india, it simply goes against everything we understand about the present market.

Those numbers could easily be possible in 10 years time on a yearly bases as the market in india expands, but not yet.

No point in arguing. At some point you just have to accept logic, facts and reason mean nothing to Crazzyman.

Please do not take anything that I have posted to mean that it is not possible for Sony to sell half a million consoles in India. There are after all a billion people in that country.

However, if that had happened, don't you think Sony would have sold 500K consoles in India, the would be trumping it from the highest mountain (is that Mt. Fuji in Japan?)

100% correct (I was going to say this exact same thing, then I read your post)

If Sony managed to sell 500k in India, it would be a phenominal amount. It would be seen as the emergence of a new major market. And you would be seeing this news everywhere, not just in some unknown website. This news is completely wrong (even Diomedes agrees!)

I think it was probably a dollar amount that got misinterpreted. Or maybe a number for the PS2.

Everest is the tallest on this planet, there are significantly taller on other planets in this solar system however and presumably there are even taller on other planets out in the Cosmos.

I could be off but I do believe the tallest in this sytem are on Io which again iirc is a moon of Jupiter.
