I am not looking for something too spectacular. I am just looking for something that at least matches the xbox 360 or possibly the ps3 in graphics.

Squilliam already gave his recommendation, the HD 5670 or the 5650/5570 if you want a cheaper one.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Visiontek - ATI Radeon 5670 1GB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card/9975432.p?id=1218211781152&skuId=9975432&st=5670&cp=1&lp=3
Is available to pick up. Im assuming you don't have access to a credit card for online purchases, is that right? Because otherwise you could get something from Newegg for signficantly cheaper.
Tease.

i was thinking about getting it from newegg but i have many best buy gift cards to use :) So how does this graphics card compare to the xbox 360 and ps3 graphics? Also are positive it will work with a 250 wat psu
At amd.com they recommend at least a 400 watt psu but i only have a 250 watt psu

It is significantly better than the GPUs of the 360/PS3. If you have a reasonably big monitor (> 20 inch) you'll be able to run games in resolutions higher than HD.
If you saw that table I linked to earlier, the 5670 is about 5 levels higher than the GPUs that the HD consoles have.

I don't know about these specific cards, but the really I don't think you'll have graphical problems if your benchmark is 360/PS3. Remember, that's like 2005 technology graphics wise... If I recall, that was the 6000/7000 era on Nvidia, and that's significantly lower than the card you're getting.

One thing that can be easily ignored when comparing PC vs console graphics is that you're much closer to the PC monitor than to the TV (unless you're one of those people who glue their face to the TV). So you can see the details much better when playing PC games, which also means that you need a more powerful graphics card.
When playing on a console, your brain and your imagination will fill in a lot of non-existing details...

Hey guys i saw on the starcraft 2 requirements that i need at least a 2.4 ghz processor. However my amd processor is only 2.3 ghz. Will this be a problem too?
