Halo in my opinion has a much larger audience. It is a game often played by casuals and all the casuals know about it. Killzone is a little bit more hardcore, thefrefore it will not recieve as much sales. Both will be fun and unique though. I just wished Gears and Killzone did not launch around the same time :(

We're discussing FPSs, not bundled games which shouldn't count towards sales in the first place.
If that is the case then billions feel Solitaire is the greatest game of all time.

say what now? is this true? what rock have i been living under? next your going to tell me Wii took first place from Sony and the 360 is in third place. not selling two hundred thousand units during the summer months which is usually dead for consoles!

on the other hand i'm not a fan of halo and i still fill at the lest it's the worst person shooter ever made next to CODMW2 of course. |
You still enjoy playing the buggiest, most hacker filled game of all time?

Nothing you type is clear.

Thanks. 12 other million people feel the same way. |
Yep, everyone who bought Halo 3 thinks that Halo 3's gameplay is better/the best..., oh come on... -.-
I'm one of these ~12 million and I don't think so [and I consider myself unbiased], and believe me, not even the half of these people think that Halo 3 has the best gameplay...
And if you mean that at least every unbiased person thinks that, you're completely wrong. You just have to face the fact that there are different opinions, and that there is no objective best game of a single genre.
2012 - Top 3 [so far]

srry i'm on a laptop. funny. but i do hate both games.
Halo 3 was to floaty, it was ugly, had bad level design, the AI was stupid, the universe is overrated, the character design is uninspired, the guns were boring, the vehicle sections remind me of HAZE and Master Chief is a dick. If Halo: Reach fixes all those problems then I'd probably consider playing it.
Killzone 2 had too many dude bros, Visari died, the first games story wasn't explained to well to newcomers, Rico, too much gray and red, online co-op could have helped and Rico should have had a rocket shoved up his ass. If all these problems are fixed, then I'd most likely play Killzone 3.
As far as popularity goes, Halo 3 had a marketing budget that went well over $200 million, anything with a budget like that is guaranteed to be the most popular. Shamwow is a horrible product, but due to the amount of ads it has, it sells extremely well. The general public don't have the time or the interest to look up every game that's being released within the year and then compare them, they pretty much rely on whatever's ads are being run on their TV's, radios, magazines, skyscrapers and Mountain Dew cans. Dudebros don't care about quality and aren't exactly a great source for determining what is quality.
Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
