All are amazing games excpt FF12, stay away from FF12 (jst see youtube cut scenes ov balthier if u want to see gud parts of tht game).

I see we're not even 50 pages old and people have already begun the "stay away from  _ _ _ _FF title",       "_ _ _ _ FF titles is when the series went downhill", "_ _ _ _ FF's are emo trash!"

Do yourself a favour O_D_C and go into every Final Fantasy with an open mind, many of them are Love it Or Hate and each one of them is amazing. You just don't know which one you'll like. There is no doubt this thread has shown you the mixed opinions present.

My favourite ones are FF6, FF13, FF10 and FF4 (with FF6 way above the rest), but in general I would give each one of them over a 9/10.

You only seem to have nintendo consoles so you should try FF3 and FF6 after finishing FF4.

FF3 was pretty boring and I didn't finish it yet but as you already HAVE the game just play it.

FF6 Advance is available for GBA, so get it for that. Enjoy FFV, I still haven't played that one!

True I thought 7 was somewhat overrated, but I loved 8, although the customization with the GF's would scare non-true rpg'ers, it was a well made game with excellent gameplay and a good story. 9 took FF back to its roots, although I found the story somewhat ok. 10 had a VERY good story, although the linearity (to a small extent), the lack of a real world map killed it a little for me, but going for the ultimate weapons and unlocking them, as well as the battle system with the tactical switch in and outs was very fun. So no, after 6 the series didn't go truly downhill. Furthermore for a non numbered FF, Crisis Core was an excellent game in terms of story and gameplay.

I would give FF12 exactly a 9/10 and its the weakest imo. But its still a 9/10 game.

I've played Crystal Chronicles on the DS, it is not emo trash, in fact I don't know why you would call it EMO at all. Its just boring.

Hmm good tastes. I would add Grandia 1 and 2 to the list of good rpg's, and I am personally a HUGE Valkyrie Profile fan, but only the main series VP's, not that mediocre spinoff they put on the DS. VP1 introduced an amazing and engaging battle system, while VP2 refined it into perfection. If it wouldn't be for the Raki glitch in the American version, Ar Tonelico 2 would be also rated in the 9.5/10 to me. Hmmm now that I think about it, I have to get another copy of Vagrant Story somehow. Damn I went somewhat off topic here.
