EXACTLY!! The other arabs are afraid of the palestinians, appx 2/3 of jordan is made up of palestinians.  Arap countries force palestinians to live in refugee camps as a bargaining chip to show how inhumane israel is. Howerver, the inhumanity was bred by the arabs

At one time I strongly argued for a full retreat to the green line and financial repayment to Palestinians for Arab homes within Israel that are lost to the millions of refugees. However, I've come to believe now that the only real solution is a full annexation of WB/Gaza by Israel with immediate full rights bestowed on the Arab populace, including refugees. However, Israel is at best to do that for WB only. In the end it wouldn't matter as time would be on Arab's side and they would quickly return to the majority population.

Another solution is that the Palestinian refugees stop calling themselves Palestinians and accept that they're Arabs who can live anywhere in the huge Arab world.

Israel belongs to the Jews, not anyone else.

Says who exactly?

Because the Jews are the people who have the strongest historical connection to the territory and because Israel is acknowledged by the UN as a Jewish sovereign nation.

That's BS. Arabs have lived there as a majority for hundreds of years longer than Jews ever did. Jews only think they havea  stronger connection due to their narrow minded history.

People lived there before Jews migrated there and Arabs moved in after Romans kicked them out. Again, the Dome of the Rock has stood longer than BOTH Jewish temples COMBINED, by hundreds of years.

But Jews came there long before the Arabs, and they're there now.

And the First Jewish temple was built more than a thousand years before the Dome, and they still have the Western Wall which is a remnant of the Second Temple. And hopefully some day a full temple will be rebuilt.

You're missing the point. I said LONGER .... I think that is important when someone is trying to state how obvious it is that Jews have a legitimate claim above all else. That's stupid and irrelavent.

Arabs have lived there longer and were a majority the day modern Israel was created.

As for the temple, huh, one remaining wall doesn't mean anything. I'm sure there is a rock somewhere with the Hebrew equivalent of 'so and so was here' from a ancient Jewish persion, but that doesn't mean the house standing on it is owned by that person.

The Dome of the Rock has stood entact for FAR longer than both Jewish temples combined.

Jews lost the area to the romans. Within 100 years Arabs were the Majority population. by late 600AD, Muslims were the majority of the population. Even when Christian Crusaders ruled the city, Arabs were still the majority, and I'm not talking 55% or some ish, we're talking 85-90% here.

When Christian Crusaders were using Temple Mount/Dome of Rock as a stable and trash heap, it was Arabs/Muslims who cleaned house and returned it to it sanctuary and allowed Jews/Muslims back to their place of worships.

When Christian hoardes where killing anyone who didn't follow there exact faith, it was Muslim lands that Jews (as well as others) fled to for prosperity, peace, and just treatment. Study their history, golden age of intelect and philosphy was in Muslim controlled Spain.

It wasn't until the 1900's and European Jewish plans to steal a homeland that Muslims and Jews started to fight in that region. In 1948, Jews only legally owned about 23% of the land that was given to them by the mandate. The rest was owned by Arabs. In 1948, Jews were still at best 45% of the entire population and less than half of those were actually born in that region. Most were born in Europe.

But, I've strayed into arguments I hate, the ones that focus on the past. As for the present and future, Isreal exists and should continue to exist. A divided Palestinian state is not good for the Palestinians or Israelis, therefore a democratic and free Israel over the entire region with equal treatment to everyone is the overall best answer.

^ Well, Israel is already democratic and free. It doesn't need the population of the West Bank and Gaza.

of course once the jews stop being dominant in israel it will stop being the free, democratic country that provides equality for its citizens and devolve into the typical oppressive middle-eastern regime.  if they become a minority by being out born by the israeli arabs, then its less likely to happen, but absorbing the west bank and gaza is a death sentence for the country

My god people do die kill and fight for the stupidest reasons :S

What do they want the dam tree for anyway ?

And if its their territory why didn't they build the dam fence right ?

Also what do they smoke or drink to be in a state of mind that thinks about getting in to a fight for a dam tree ?

I dont think that Israel would ever want a democracy, the palestenians are very poor people, and poor people multiply at much faster rates than the rich, so very soon if this happened the jews would be out of the political sphere kind of like what has happened with south africa.

I think that the jews best bet is for a separate statehood for the pals, that way the jews can keep them out, and basically set up the upper class area that they've wanted.

the israelis might have chosen not to build the fence right on the blue line for a buffer zone or it wasnt the best location from a military aspect.   this isnt like a common fence you might have with your neighbour.

are you referring to the israeli arabs as palestinians or just those in the west bank/gaza?

Chunk, all your points are true, but it does not contradict what I said... probably because I was not clear (too many words).

in short:

any populace that lived in one place has an equal right to the land.

Trying to solve the problem by force and losing... means you lost your claim.

From what I recall reading, the Jew militias only started after arab groups orchastred a masacre of jews fueld by thier dislike of seeing them arrive in mass.

It's basically a conquest by immigration (then turned violent).

I personnaly believe no people have any right on any land...hence why the claims are equal to me. You stayed longer? you were there more recently? well all this just means that after one or two more generations, palestinians will have no more claim right?

actually, in some countries, you can't build a fence on the limit, you can only do constructions at 1M from the limit (unless there is an agreement), talking about Mr everybody here
