Forums - Nintendo - When to release the bowling ball? O_o

I was playing Wii Bowling today on WiiSports, something I seem to play everytime my neice shows up to watch my daughter. Anyways, the game continues to piss me off to no end and this is why.

I hold the B button down, pull my arm back and proceed to move it as if I was holding a real ball. Each time I do the game tells me that I need to release the B button... meanwhile I am. Everything works great for every other game I play.

It just annoys me because she just rotates her arm in circles like 5-6 times before actually letting the ball go and she somehow keeps getting strikes...

I hate being beat by a 10 year old.

Give me tips. I used to average 230 or more each game. Is something wrong with my Wiimote?

I mean that she literally spins her arms around and around and around and around and around and around and lets go.

Really frustrating. She SHOULD be throwing gutterballs, meanwhile when it works for me my ball always has crazy ass spin and never goes straight, even when I keep the Wiimote straight.

Only saving grace is that I kick her ass in Tennis, Boxing and most of all, Baseball.

It's just a game. It's just Wii Sports Bowling. If you used to do just fine, then I don't know what to say. Besides, if I tried to help, I'd probably just end up making you feel worse.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

wii sports should have online, since almost every wii owner has it and it be cool uber pawnage.

maybe she is actually good...

If you saw how she throws you would know it isn't skill.

Skill doesn't involve doing 6-7 full circular arm rotations and then letting go. It is really hard to describe how she plays.

Although as I said, I beat her in everything else.

@Mysticwolf

I am calm. I just need pointers because being beat my a 10 year old when you are a 26 year old who has been gaming for over 20 years is downright embarassing.

Watch ithis video from ~:40 on. Think of someone doing that rotation 5-6 times but extremely fast and then getting strikes and beating you. O_o

If she's wheeling her arm that much it's possible that the momentum is tricking the wiimote into thinking that she's swinging perfectly straight - so when she lets go it shoots straight down the center like a rocket.

Maybe you should try it

lol this

Does it really matter if you lose to a ten year old?  It might actually make her feel good that she can beat you at something since you win at all the other games.

No matter which way I throw the ball it spins to the left, even when I rotate the Wiimote to the right.

I tried again after she left. I used the controller she was using, and everything seemed to work fine.

I think my other Wiimote is busted.
