Forums - Website Topics - Question about sales data access

Simple answer is no - if we intend to offer data to industry at paid rates we obviously have to start to limit what is freely available along with offer more to paid subscribers. Ideally you will still be able to find a particular point of data if you want, just that it will be harder to grab masses of data which is how we encourage people to pay for it to gain access to various tools which will make it easy to compare whatever you want.

I'm still working through the detail of this and obviously I want to find a balance that gives you guys what you want but also allows us to bring in revenue for the data rather than just keep giving it away for free

All right, thank you for the answer.

You mentioned that VGChartz Pro might be rolled out in late September?

Sir, I'd pay no more than $20 a year....unless you decide to...oh I don't know....adjust God of War III sales up to 15 million sold..

As I am not part of a corporation that would be able to justify that expense, no.

No, I probably will not.

Now I wonder if members of staff will have access to the numbers...

I think faithful members should be allowed to watch game sales data beyond week 20.

A faithful member could be defined as anyone who registered on the forums before 2009 and has over 10,000 posts.

Having access to every indiviual week of sales data is very important to me.
