Forums - Nintendo - The Conduit 2's Boxart......

its better than the original, so theres that.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Aweful I liked the first ones box art so much better. This just looks stupid. Owell, not buying anyways.

Well this will help determine how much of the Wii audience likes those games.

If "those games" are first person shooters. I think the Call of Duty ports already determined that.

No, it just shows that without local multiplayer and barely any marketing, CoD games on the Wii sell about as much as the series before Modern Warfare on the HD systems.

Actually, the current CoD games on the Wii haven't sold as well as the pre-MW games on the 360.

CoD 2 and 3 almost sold 2.5 million each.  I imagine they are pretty popular as digital downloads as well. The best selling CoD game on the Wii is only at 1.5 million.

Conduit 2 offers split screen but so does Golden Eye. Black Ops with or without splitscreen will be the most successful shooter of the three.

Don't you pretend I made a qualifier I didn't. Did you even bother to notice what I wrote?

Yeah, I read it.

You said the Wii CoD games performed about as well as the pre-MW on the HD consoles. But if check the 360 sales of CoD 2 and 3 you'll see that's not the case.

Lets remember MW:Reflex was the only release that had no marketing. CoD3 on the Wii came just a week after the other releases. WaW was released the same day.

Its not like people were unaware of MW:Reflex. Every major publication was covering it and its sitting on the shelf at every retailer. The only thing keeping Wii owners from buying it is lack of interest. Shooting fans bought other consoles.

every major publication giving reflex coverage?thats a blantant lie as it was ignored by most publications with poor reduced and undermined mentions in a FEW cases. 2ndly,never say that a million seller is sitting on shelves. If you say its sitting as figurative form some other version sold more, then you can say ps3 sat on shelves because 360 sold twice than it. And you know thats wrong.A game that sold 1 million in 6 months IS NOT IN A SITTING ON SHELVES CATEGORY.

I had a feeling you were just comparing it to the PS3. You'll spin it anyway just to make the Wii look good.

The PS3 was $600 when CoD3 came out. Its also likely many Sony fans just bought the PS2 version. Note, this site didn't fully track the PS2 sales of CoD3.

CoD3 was also the only tolerable shooter on the Wii until another CoD came out.

Gears of Halo Wii confirmed?

It's actually the sequel because of the 2....

Lol, nice one. XD

Bytheby, I see we're now able to see when we've been quoted in a thread, once again. Nice.

"Gears of Halo 2. So goddamn good we didn't need to make a first one."

I didn't just compare it do the PS3, or I would have wrote that. First you lie about my plural being a singular for one system, and then you lie about it being a singular for another. Not to mention someone pointed out you lied about the press Reflex got. You're just spinning this and trying to project it on me. It's not working.

Haha, you can't be serious? I'm saying its sitting on the shelves literally. I can go to any major retailer and see the game right there sitting on a shelf. Its no secret to Wii owners that Modern Warfare is available on their console. Making them care is another story.

You must live in world different from me, maybe bizarro world. Because from what I can tell all the major magazines and websites covered MW:Reflex. And it received great scores from all the publications that matter.
