Correct... PS2 is manufactured in Manaus (Brazil) since early 2009.


So, why it still costing 3 TIMES the north american price?

Because any product manufactured in Brazil has more taxes than it imported from outside.

- Xbox 360 imported is cheaper than Xbox 360 Brazil.
- Wii imported is cheaper than Wii Brazil.
- iPhone imported is a lot cheaper than iPhone Brasil.

This is Brazil.

PS. PS3 here is more cheaper of the consoles because it's the only imported.

For what i know 360 dominates All America. Anyway this is very strange and i dont trust sony numbers. way to high Europe isnt bigger than Japan and Americas combined. sounds BS but ok its what we get.

No, NPD is US only.

NPD also has tracking services for Canada and Australia iirc, but they're reported separately.

1) Youre taking 3rd party sales estimates to consumers vs Sony shipped to retail.

2) Youre interchanging the two and blaming sony when they arent reporting sold to consumers.

3) You dont grasp the overall concept of sales tracking websites and a companies financial report

4) EMEAA isnt "Europe"

You even said yourself in the OP "youre not a sales guy" so why are you arguing something you clearly not only admit you dont know anything about, but are demonstrating you know nothing about?

Well this is one of the dumbest threads I've ever read and theres some stupid replies too. Anyway how can Sony overship to stores when stores order in from demand. Why do yous think stores do pre orders. To figure out what they will need. What do people actually think Sonys going to announce a number for what they shipped and lie about it just so they can look good with being in third place. Lol come on people thats called fanboyism

In EU, big stores are only using what they have, because they're hard to come by.
