Looks like I was right about the new PS3 tales exclusive and their impending announcement at TGS.

I am pretty excited to the new tales series.

I'm not too surprised about Tales of Graces going over to the PS3. I do think it will do better but only because the problems that hurt the Wii version won't hurt the PS3 version. Tales of Graces had one of the worst launches I've ever seen. The timing for the release was horrible. New Super Mario Bros. Wii one week and Final Fantasy XIII for the PS3 the next? Not to mention the slew of other titles released as well. There was really no room for it. Namco should've delayed the title to try and get higher sales. Not to mention the problems that effected the game. The biggest one I heard was problems with the replay games. Anyone who's played a Tales title knows that half of the fun of playing one is the replay bonus. Its what keeps those gamers going back and playing more. If they had delayed the game, they probably would've been able to fix the bugs that plagued the game.

I hope that some version of the game comes to the States. I'd prefer it on the Wii but I don't mind playing on my PS3. Currently, my PS3 only gets use as a movie player. Used to have more games for it, only have FFXIII now, but I traded them in to get a WII and games. I've been playing on my Wii more since.

Also, not even remotely surprised about Tales of the World: RM3. I bet $10 on that one getting announced. I even bet on the next Tales of title going to the PS3. Only made sense, as much I hate to admit. Hopefully this will bring the Tales series back to the glory it once had.

Oh Namco-Bandai, if only you'd release games in the west that western gamers want, and not what you put out.  I've learned to stop getting excited for anything by them since they never put Gundam games or anything else really for me to buy.

Wasn't the Wii the console where all Tales games would come?  
It is good news for the real fans, they simply can import the games and considering a real big fan already have learned Japanese their should nothing to worry about.

Btw I read something about Tales Graces F:  Additional costumes for Sophie/a? And new Attacks etc.

Were sales really that poor for 360 Vesperia that Namco decided not to bring the PS3 version to the West ?
Maybe they wondered if it would flop badly like Eternal Sonata PS3...

I would assume after the sales of their own Tekken 6 that they'd realize the 360 is not a good barometer for the sales of Japanese games in the west, let alone franchises that have traditionally appeared on PlayStation platforms.

But I think Namco's weak record of localizing games has more to do with the gutting of their NA branch a few years back than anything else.  These days, all you see from them are Tekken, Naruto, DBZ, and Gundam games.  Anything else ain't making it over.  I don't think they have the manpower for much else.  It sucks they refuse to let smaller publishers like Atlus handle their IPs, though.

And it's incredibly ironic that Namco picked up the publishing rights for Demon's Souls in Europe.  They refuse to handle their own well-recieved though niche RPGs, but they'll gladly pick up Sony's niche RPG.

?...no buddy demon souls doesnt compare to alot of tales games though it is a great game.
