Based on the scans, it looks like it's just Graces rendered natively in HD. No other graphical improvements.
That and the additional AA make for a nice look overall, though. Graces looks darn good as is, and the improved image quality is nice.

Great so PS3 gets Tales grace and a NEW tales later down the road, about time namco gives PS3 its own tales game.

Were sales really that poor for 360 Vesperia that Namco decided not to bring the PS3 version to the West ? |
I would assume after the sales of their own Tekken 6 that they'd realize the 360 is not a good barometer for the sales of Japanese games in the west, let alone franchises that have traditionally appeared on PlayStation platforms.
But I think Namco's weak record of localizing games has more to do with the gutting of their NA branch a few years back than anything else. These days, all you see from them are Tekken, Naruto, DBZ, and Gundam games. Anything else ain't making it over. I don't think they have the manpower for much else. It sucks they refuse to let smaller publishers like Atlus handle their IPs, though.
And it's incredibly ironic that Namco picked up the publishing rights for Demon's Souls in Europe. They refuse to handle their own well-recieved though niche RPGs, but they'll gladly pick up Sony's niche RPG.

Any news on it having a load more content like Vesperia did?
![]()
will sony make them add content like they did for vesperia? probably, seems to be a company policy but it's the first time i see a wii game go to the ps3.
i'll probably get a wii somewhere along the road anyway so i'd be happy if namco released either version on the west.

Not that I know of. It'll at least have some bonus content, but whether it's more like ToS PS2 or ToV PS3, I dunno.
No, No, NOOO!!!
Ok, I'm giving up on all hope for Tales of Graces ever getting released in the west. Thank God for Graces getting translated by fans or I would storm Namco's HQ...

PS3 does seem like the best home console platform to put Tales games on, given ToV sold very well for a year old port. The Western release of the 360 version didn't even sell as much as the PS3 version in Japan. And Tales of Graces sold no where near the PS3 version of ToV despite the much larger install base. In fact ToV on PS3 is the best selling Tales game on a single platform in Japan this generation, and that includes the PSP games. I suspect Namco decided against incurring the costs of localising the game for a Western release because they figured with the much smaller PS3 install base in the main JRPG market in the west they might not make their money back.
But the Western release of ToV on 360 shows Namco are willing to bring Tales to the West. So if PS3 is the first platform for the next Tales game it could get a Western release on PS3.
