I will always remember them as RAREWARE and not RARE. I have lost all respect for the new RARE.

The thing I could never understand is why some fans were upset with Rare when they were sold to Microsoft. If anything they should've been mad with Nintendo for destroying a great developer, because key members left and Rare hasn't been the same since.



Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

If they had to pay what EA paid for BioWare, no they shouldn't have. I love BioWare, I really do, but they aren't worth nearly the amount of money EA paid for them.

If Knights of the old Republic does real good as a MMORPG they would make back all the money they spent back on Bioware.  From what I've heard/read It's going to be the allternitive MMORPG behind WoW so it will most likely get 3 million subscribers alone in It's first year.

Such a shame. Rare back in the day was my favorite developer after Nintendo, now they have become nothing more than mediocre souless Microsoft slaves incapable of producing decent content.

Viva Pinata is a more than "decent" franchise.


I agree, but uh..... have they made anything else that's seriously, really worthwhile, after they went to MS? I really can't think of anything other than Pinata dood. Makes me a sad panda tbh.

A new Conker,JET FORCE GEMINI remake and KILLER INSTINCT atleast for kinect would be epic, But unfortunately Rare is too stupid and talentless to realize this

Kameo is an ok game. It was actually one of the main reasons I bought a 360, so my expectations were high, and I was somewhat let down. It was overall a short and easy game. Kameo is my $15 wasted on a mediocre experience with gameplay as deep as a pimple crater.

Rare need to get their shit together 

On Topic: Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts was a step in the right direction for Rare and it's so much better than everything they've released this gen, it's sad that it didn't sell that well and Rare are being pushed into working on Kinect sport titles. People on this site should really pick up Nuts & Bolts, you can probably find it for $15 and it's worth so much more.



yeah, we all loved the deep gameplay of DKR

I don't really care how "deep" it is. It's a really fun game, that's all that matters.

I mean, how many racing games can you chose to play in a car, plane, or innertube? :P

Nuts and Bolts is pretty fun and Viva Pinata is good too! I still need to try Trouble in Paradise, and with any luck Rare with follow through in 10 more years with a new Banjo-Kazooie game.
