I think Reach has little to no chance at all of beating Black Ops.
Some people here seem to think Black Ops will be trash but that simply isn't true. We can't directly compare Black Ops to all of Treyarch's previous games because Treyarch was given a much bigger budget and a much bigger team this time to create Black Ops. Blacks Ops has a team that equals and may even be bigger than the team that did MW2--- it isn't limited like it was with WaW.
There is a small but vocal minorityof people that like to bash MW2 in every thread they can hijack, but this group of people doesn't represent the majority of people who bought and are still buying MW2 and the mappacks.
If 1 year of MW2 sales have already surpassed 3 years of Halo 3 sales, then I don't think Reach will able to surpass Black Ops sales. The only wildcard is Medal of Honor which has been getting tremendous numbers of pre-orders so far. If Medal of Honor can somehow keep people from buying Black Ops then Reach might have a chance.
