yet it doesnt count BECAUSE how is it fair that ps3 get their release numbers and 360 doesnt, i think its fair as it is. Makes sense, then ps3 gets to keep their release numbers and everybody is happy

At the time PS3 first launched (Japan 12 Nov 2006) 360 was already selling worldwide. Kowenicki's comparison is based on sales from when PS3 came on to market to the current date. Given those parameters, 360's release numbers don't factor in to this thread.

But the issue isn't one of "fairness" it's about what is the most accurate reflection of the sales comparison within the parameters set in the OP. If the thread is meant to be looking at PS360 sales during the time PS3 and 360 have been directly competing, is it accurate to include 360 sales in markets where PS3 was not yet available?

Probably several more months for that, though by that time we'll see Wii sprint forward again with the holidays (which tend to lift Nintendo more).

So close, and the PS3 has always been more expensive. Means there's more demand for the console and it's just up to Sony to find a good price
