Like the title says, I think it would rake in a shit load of money for sony and maybe boost harware sales. What do you guys think?

It'll happen.  They just need to get ps2 software emulation ready.

Their PS1 software is still having issues. Whether its licensing or something else, the games are only coming out in a trickle, I don't think we will see a comprehensive PS2 library on the PSN until PS4. Besides which, to be honest, at least here in america, downloads of PS2 games would suck hard. Like have to leave the PS3 on overnight to download one game suckage.

But its definitely coming, and when it does, ROCK ON. We may even see PS2 games on PSP2. The thought makes me feel funny inside.

That would be epic, what if they made some ps2 games for psp? Isn't the psp just as powerful as ps2?

Their ps1 software is fine, which is why 99.9% of all disc-based ps1 games work on all ps3s.  The reason ps1 classics come out so infrequently is primarily a licensing issue, plus these things simply take time. 

Just look at the number of ps1 games released in Japan versus America.  It has nothing to do with the software.

And we probably will see ps2 games on PSP2.  If Sony can get a ps1 emulator running flawlessly on the PSP of all devices, I have no doubt in my mind we'll see ps2 emulation on both ps3 and PSP2 eventually.

I think so they would make a killing also make them exclusive to PSN members to get more people to sign up.  I just want FFX & MGS2/3 in HD.
