Would the psn prosper with ps2 games instead of ps1 classics?

Their PS1 software is still having issues. Whether its licensing or something else, the games are only coming out in a trickle, I don't think we will see a comprehensive PS2 library until PS4. Besides which, to be honest, at least here in america, downloads of PS2 games would suck hard. Like have to leave the PS3 on overnight to download one game suckage.

But its definitely coming, and when it does, ROCK ON. We may even see PS2 games on PSP2. The thought makes me feel funny inside.

Their ps1 software is fine, which is why 99.9% of all disc-based ps1 games work on all ps3s.  The reason ps1 classics come out so infrequently is primarily a licensing issue, plus these things simply take time. 

Just look at the number of ps1 games released in Japan versus America.  It has nothing to do with the software.

And we probably will see ps2 games on PSP2.  If Sony can get a ps1 emulator running flawlessly on the PSP of all devices, I have no doubt in my mind we'll see ps2 emulation on both ps3 and PSP2 eventually.
