Thanks for your impression. It look like this stick is a real deal. It's indeed massive and heavy. It weights almost 6 pounds (3 kg). Regards X-arcade I would prefer to avoid any converters... also it isn't a dedicated PS3 controller.
I'm not trolling, I was being serious. Don't cut me down for being an optimist.
Hori makes fairly good products, and had an amazing dreamcast stick years ago. Don't have any experience with their PS3 one, but it cant be that different than their previous sticks - which is to say good.
For the PS3 I have the Sega Virtua Stick that was released nearly a year ago. Its decent quality and I think its hit around $75 on play-asia. However they had some problems with the stick itself, but mines fine. On the plus side its USB and easy to use on PC. Oh, and it works with PS2/1 games on the PS3, or at least thats what I've read as I haven't tried the stick with any PS2 games recently. The Hori stick may also be supported as it was in a firmware update, but I'm not sure.
So, uh, yeah, can't say anything about personal experience with the Hori, but it should be at least decent.

"Why do they call it the xbox 360? Because when you see it, you'll turn 360 degrees and walk away"
As a rule of thumb hori knows what they are doing when it comes to arcade sticks,
their arcade stick is generally the only one neo geo owners will touch outside of official snk one's (outside of one's made out of real JAMMA parts)
I've used the wii one with guilty gear and it worked out very nicely, so I'd imagine the ps3 one is of similar quality and don't see any reason it shouldn't work out quite well with any fighters on it.
I HAVE A DOUBLE DRAGON CAB IN MY KITCHEN!!!!!!
NOW A PUNISHER CAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cool, and pretty expensive too :S. I wouldn't buy it if I owned a ps3, but o well, only matters what you want
That thing is awe-worthy. However, at the price I just couldn't see it, because we all know that a person can't just have one arcade stick and be satisfied. You'll have to buy another one just like it when considering 2 player (what fighting games are all about) action.
Personally, I'm plenty happy with my 2 HORI fighting stick 3s. They handle marvelously and are truly arcade-level responsive on both 2d and 3d fighters.
I should know. I own every game with Tekken, SF, and SC in the title in the playstation library.
