Hori makes fairly good products, and had an amazing dreamcast stick years ago. Don't have any experience with their PS3 one, but it cant be that different than their previous sticks - which is to say good.

For the PS3 I have the Sega Virtua Stick that was released nearly a year ago. Its decent quality and I think its hit around $75 on play-asia. However they had some problems with the stick itself, but mines fine. On the plus side its USB and easy to use on PC. Oh, and it works with PS2/1 games on the PS3, or at least thats what I've read as I haven't tried the stick with any PS2 games recently. The Hori stick may also be supported as it was in a firmware update, but I'm not sure.

So, uh, yeah, can't say anything about personal experience with the Hori, but it should be at least decent.
