Will be getting a 360 in the house on August 1st (new roommate) and this is on the top of my download list from XBL!

I just finished the game. Gameplay wise it's very good. Some of the puzzles can break your brain. The art style is beautiful but I felt the first half had better art direction with the forest setting. The second half was more typical platforming environments. It reminded me of the more industrial parts of Crash Bandicoot and Super Mario Land 2.

Bah, I don't like industrial. You mean like steam thingys and cogwheels and stuff?

it is only for 360 ? or pc ? or ps3 ?

It is published by Microsoft, work it out (If you cant Im pretty sure its a XBLA exclusive)

So was Ninja Gaiden 2

OP:

I don't even have a 360 anymore, but I was Skyping a friend of mine who was playing the demo, and he showed it to me and it looked great (besides the shitty camera quality). So much so that he bought it on the spot, and was like...buy this right now. Even though I don't own a 360 anymore

However, I know the ESRB has listed it for PS3 so there's hope

Anyone else reminded of games like Out of this World and Flashback?

I'm really liking it but just like Deathspank I think I'm going to find it a tad too short for the price.  But I could see going through it again when I finish, deathspank I see no reason to play after the first time through.

The developers have stated its XBLA only. I'd go dig up the article, but I'm too lazy.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

Im pretty sure Ninja Gaiden 2 was an Xbox exclusive, even if the series isnt.

Still deciding whether to get the full game. If it was 800 points would already have it but everyone keeps saying its so short which is putting me off at 1200 points. Main sticking point is how replay-able it is, what has everyone else found?

If you buy 3 of these "summer of arcade" games for 1200 MS by end of august will give you 400 pts back by end of september.

Hydro Thunder, CAsltevania, Limbo, Tomb Raider... picking 3 you like should be easy.

@SecondWar, I'm in the 60-70 percent through area, somewhere in there and I've missed a lot of the achievements.  I could see play through a couple times more trying to get those and explore the game better.  Also the achievement for die less than 5 times would certainly take a few times to learn the game good enough.

I want to say 15 is too much, and 3 hours is too short, but I honestly got to thinking, most platformers are short.  I mean, how long would it take to go through Super Mario Brothers or how long would Braid take if you knew what to do?  Not very long I'm guessing..  Isn't there an achievement to beat Braid in under 45 minutes?

Either way its an experience I would recommend no 2D platforming lover miss.

Sonic 1 must have been the biggest rip off in 1991. Full price retail game that I can beat in 30 minutes. :)

Thats the thing which I brought up in an earlier post, Im not a big arcade person (put it this way, I only have 1 other arcade game). I will be getting one at the most, which would have to be my favourite.

Heres how I rate them:

1. Limbo

2. Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light

3. Castlevania

4. Hydro Thunder Hurricane

5. Monday Night Combat

In fact, the bottom two games probably sum up why I dont really do arcade games, they just dont appeal to me. Limbo is one of a very small selection that does.
