According to this site I found it seems the UK may have it in March.

They're going to wait until the DS platform prints them 150 million units then release the 3DS.Plus, the americas hasn't had the Japan price cut yet.

This would actually be rather good if true as there are several game coming out in the next few months for Wii/DS and I don't think my wallet could handle the 3DS on top.

Well I am hoping for a March release in North America/Japan to be honest. I have way to many purchases to make this fall/winter and not enough money to aquire everything. So a later date would be just fine with me!

They should try to release it this year. I'm sure other manufacturers are already working on portable 3D movie players and eager to release their products before Nintendo. That could harm the 3DS hype. 

Their only real concern are the games, probably. We don't know for how long 3rd party developers have had their hands on the hardware, but if we assume it wasn't before 2010, the time frame is too short. And Nintendo probably want to release the 3DS with proper 3rd party support. 

So that's my guess: This year if they release it with a handful of 1st party games only. March 2011 if they want 3rd parties from launch.

Here is what i think will happen.

Japan - Octuber

US - November

Eu - DEC/JAN

AU- Q1

But i will import it in day one from japan (if there is no region lock of course). I just cant WAAAAIT for the 3DS.
