Technology wise, I doubt the wii will be the industry standard. Control wise I hope it will be.

Here in Norway (and other Nordic countries), Wii's are abundant, as are 360 elite's.

I still say those not finding Wiis are muhc more likely to pick up a DS than a PS3/360 and wait to get a console. The DS compliments the Wii, has similar gamplay/audience, and is still a mass mrket pricepoint. Never forget it is the most popular gaming system.
Final* Word on Game Delays:
The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.
Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.
Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.

to the majority of potential wii purchasers, 360/ps3 are not substitutes whatsoever...they don't even consider buying a 360/ps3
GAMERS will consider all 3...non-gamers will only buy a wii...u can't play wii games on 360/ps3...u can't use motion controls on 360/ps3...u can't get wii fit on 360/ps3...they are simply NOT substitutes, just like Barnum and Bailey Circus is not a substitute for Cirque du Soleil
SOME people who can't find a wii will buy a 360/ps3 just to put a console under the tree, but that won't be the norm...that will be the parents of GAMERS...kids who want a new game console...most of the people looking for the Wii are not gamers
once u understand the difference, u will see why Wii will sell unprecedented numbers over the next few years
