to the majority of potential wii purchasers, 360/ps3 are not substitutes whatsoever...they don't even consider buying a 360/ps3
GAMERS will consider all 3...non-gamers will only buy a wii...u can't play wii games on 360/ps3...u can't use motion controls on 360/ps3...u can't get wii fit on 360/ps3...they are simply NOT substitutes, just like Barnum and Bailey Circus is not a substitute for Cirque du Soleil
SOME people who can't find a wii will buy a 360/ps3 just to put a console under the tree, but that won't be the norm...that will be the parents of GAMERS...kids who want a new game console...most of the people looking for the Wii are not gamers
once u understand the difference, u will see why Wii will sell unprecedented numbers over the next few years
