Isn't the Wii d0m3d anymore? I'm deeply disappointed, even pissed off, at this lack of coherence!     

It's still too early to know how the sales curve will shape precisely, but we can already say that 360 Short should benefit quite nice sales also in the middle term, at least in America.

Nice to see that PS3 sales aren't in any way damaged by XB360 success, too.

Overall I expected lower sales, nice week for the season.

Glad Deathsmiles sold nearly 40,000 limited editions :) Only edition available, actually CANT buy game by itself.


N3 2 is supposed to come out july 22nd in Japan.

congrats to wii for taking top spot this week this means only the PS3 has outsold the Wii for 4 consecutive weeks 360 will now have to start from scrath to beat the wii for 4 weeks in a row it might do it with EU now having the 360S boost but there will be no boost from JP or much in NA so i dont think it will do it with the EU relaunch

PS3 could of been at 140-150k putting 360 in last after only just 3 weeks of 360S dominance going by the sources JP preview what happen in JP? well maybe there waiting for the 160/320gb white PS3s to release

great HW sales for the box but damn the slim effect is going away fast in it's strongest region....I think within a month ps3 will be above again

not bad for crackdown because of the horrible feedback it got from various sites....I predict horrible legs but I hope it at least go for a million, but now I have doubts

Considering that the new slim is as expensive as the old 360 elites i think it has done pretty well. In the next 3 weeks or so i think we will find out about the new cheap arcade slim. That is going to obviously drive most of the 360's sales just as the old arcade did. The current slim launch is obviously not going to last for months.

the cheap arcade will only be announced with the Kinect pricing

The arcade will be what keeps sales ahead of PS3.

Didn't do well?  Are you serious?  As the previous poster pointed out, the first one had great sales only because Halo 3 (you know, one of the biggest games of all time) Beta invites were included.

A reasonably low profile, relatively low budget sandbox game should be quite content with a 300k opening.  Whether it has legs or not is another story.

Its probably already profitable. From what I saw at Eurogamer, there was only really around 12 months of actual development in that game and the team itself was smaller than the original.

Hardware YoY worldwide - 

DS down by about 241k.  It did 520k last year.

Wii down by about 22k.  It did 183k last year.

PS3 up by about 31k.  It did 98k last year.

PSP down by about 68k.  It did 145k last year.

X360 up by about 41k.  It did 106k last year.

Yeah but it came out 30th June in North America. Im in Canada and got my copy day one.

Wonder if the 360 can hold this momentum till September. If they can thats pretty good for MS's fight leading up to the holidays.
