Forums - General Discussion - Mafia Round 18 Game Thread

Looking at todays posts, I think there were some interesting aspects...

FoS: Vetteman

Looking at his posts he is trying a little too hard to get us to a no lynch, maybe because he is affraid most people are into lynching a lurker and he knows that his mafia-buddy(s) is/are inactive.

If he is a townie I don't understand why he does not want to use the only ability we have to get some mafia out of the way. Okay, if he was mafia, he would try to mislynch someone... Maybe he has seperate goal, needing him to stay alive for a longer timespan, thus he tries to minimize the risk of getting killed at night.

What theRepublic unconvered may have been a simple mistake by Vette.

I think he smells fishy but for now I am more interested in getting silver-tiger to talk so:

I was waiting for you to come in here with this.

Of course the chances that the mafia hit each other are lower today, unless we have a couple imposters posing as townies. I even explain this my post. So why should we take the chance at killing a scum when the chances of hitting a townie is much higher. And with a chance at forcing out a powerful townie to role claim so he doesnt get lynched? With the situation that we are in right now wouldnt be in our best interest to sit back one more day and gather as much information as possible?

On a side note last time I proposed this you were very opposed to this idea, you ended up being scum in that game. Either its consistent thinking, or deja vu.

The chance of hitting a townie is always going to be higher than getting scum.  The difference is, the more you no lynch, the less chances you have to mess up your lynches.  It is difficult to figure out for a game this complex, but I did for the last game I was in.  In that game with no 'no lynches', we would have had to mis-lynch four times to lose.  With one no lynch, only three mis-lynches would have lost us the game.

Yes, I was scum in that game.  We went through with your no lynch idea.  The mafia had a flawless victory.  The town didn't lynch a single one of us.

No we didnt,  we ended up lynching GoW_3ever that day,  and then you convinced the other real townies on the last day that I was scum because of my "crazy plans".   I got lynched,  you guys won

Bullshit.  We no lynched Day Three, after we had already no lynched on Day One.

I'm all for lynch-all-liars, but now we have two people who have lied about seemingly small stuff.  SnakeEyez about not posting in another thread before posting in this one, and now Vetteman about a previous game.  I'm not sure either infraction is worthy of a lynch, but I don't like it either.

And I proposed that on day 2,  so whats your point,  if you actually go back and reread the thread i was for a lynch on day three.  We kept looking for a cops investigation results but there was no cop.

Ah, I think it's time to

Vote - Snakeeyez

He's along with Sabby in my suspicious list, but Sabby is a nut-case sometimes. I'm suspicious of him but I realize that in last games, I was always suspicious of him too and he came out pro-town. Let's say I want a little more info from him. (It's interesting to note that he hasn't been posting lately either...)

But SnakeEyez is lynch-worthy at this moment to me. He band-wagoned on Vettman yesterday, after he voted No Lynch in the middle of the MM fiasco, and well his forgetting he posted in another thread before this isn't really a big thing, but his actions during the game before that in the game make that seems slightly more suspicious. If we're to lynch a lurker, I think he's a safe bet.

I kinda wish I had caught some of his stuff before, 'cause now I'm just reiterating what theRepublic and noname have pointed out. >.>

Falcon ?

And you got any better ideas ?

Scumhunt perhaps?

I'm quite happy with the amount that everyone has contributed(minus real life getting in the way). I can usually get a pretty good reading on Falcon when he actually posts. And when he does post they are usually quite good.

So wouldn't you suspect that something is up if he's not trying to get "read?" Like maybe he's hiding something?

You did propose that on Day Two, but you were also the first person to vote for GodOFWar on Day Two!  You know, the person we ended up lynching!  Day Three you said you "would be all for a no lynch", then you voted no lynch, and we no lynched that day!  So we did go through with your plan, and it backfired big time when Day Four started and we all realized there was no cop.

My point is, no lynching now would be a bad idea.  You were the one to bring up this past game as an example, but apparently you forgot that we did go thought with it and it hurt the town in the end.  Later in the game, when we have a good idea of whether the game will end during the Day phase or Night phase, we can strategically decide to no lynch to buy an extra day if the game looked like it was going to end during the Night.

Right now, we have no idea if no lynching will be beneficial.  If later we see we need to no lynch to extend the game one extra day, it will have been our third no lynch!  That is unacceptable.  The town should not be giving up that much killing power.

No.

Falcon always, like literally always lurks whether he's pro or anti-town. Also he hasn't been online.

So Falcon could either be modkilled, or lynched for inactivity, which I don't necessarily recommend unless we're in a worse position.

Since no one seems to agree with me on RCTjunkie, I will give that up for now.

Unvote

In light of what I have found regarding SnakeEyez when rereading the thread, I will go ahead and

Vote: SnakeEyez

I feel like he is our best chance at the moment.  Lurking, a slight untruth to justify his lurking, avoiding voting for Makingmusic, and then his weak association with the Vetteman bandwagon all have me worried.

I'll take your word that he's usually a lurker, but he hasn't said anything once this day, and he's logged in 15 hours ago. I'm not voting for him, but he's only posted 3 times in the entire game, one of which was out of turn. At least say something, Mr. falcon.

I'll agree with j0 that Falcon is pretty much always a lurker.  I'm sure others would too.  I'll also agree with you that he needs to post more.  It is a bit ridiculous if he really only posted 3 times in a game that is well over 500 posts now.  The average poster should have over 20 posts in this thread by now.
