Forums - Nintendo - The Official Metroid Other M Thread

That'll make replays a lot easier, then. There's a couple I won't skip, though.

It seems people are enjoying it more than reviewers, at least that's what I can see in Amazon and Nintendo Life forums, and VGChartz of course :)

I just got it today and only got to play up to the first save point and and I am loving it, more so then I did Prime 3. No disrepect to Retro. Also the CGI is amazing and the transition to the game play is perfectly excuted. Its also bar none the best looking Wii game. It really looks that amazing.

I've played through a couple hours and so far I'm enjoying it, the production values are the best for a Nintendo game to date. The game is more like Fusion than Super Metroid and I like story so far. I have died more times at the start of a Metroid game than before that's for sure, but it is partly a Team Ninja game (thank god for auto camera).

I think they should have had optional control schemes, its a little hard switching back and forth to shoot missiles when you're in the heat of a boss batle. At least they added a checkpoint system, and what's with enemies not leaving behind health. Apparently, the game goes more old school Metroid style after you beat the game and have to come back and find all the items, I'm looking forward to that.

Muramasa: the Demon Blade

I'd appreciate some help, I just fell down a hole from the top of that twisted tree thing and now I'm in a forced scanning mode and I can't find anything.

I'm really enjoying the game overall, but absolutely hate the forced scanning sections. If they make a sequel/followup I hate they remove these.

Look at the little bugs crawling on the ground - they're a ways off, brown, about the size of a football. Focus on them with B.

I was unaware of that one. ugh. I'm just rather overwhelmed right now

As for the game itself, it is starting to show great evidence of cleverly interlinking the worlds and Metroid-style progression. Hell, so far, i'd say it's less overtly mission-based than Fusion.

Combat is tremendously inventive, but risky

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
