Forums - Nintendo - Did you play Eternal Darkness? Why or why not.

Never played it, but I heard good stories and reviews about it.

It sucks that I missed out, maybe I can find it on ebay.

I have it and started it, but got so damn busy I never finished. Looks like its time to fire ED up again! Adds game to the list of 20 games I need to finish before I die.

I feel your pain. I never finished Wind Waker (Zelda). I got so far but I started to go irrationally insane from all of the Sailing (Wind Change Animations to be more specific), and after a while of not playing I soon forgot where I was at in the adventure. I want to start over but I really don't want to do the Plant Jumping again or the Sailing. GRRR.

I always made fun of my brother for not finishing his Zelda games and now look at me.

Yes. Because it got good marks from reviews; I had followed its origin from the N64; the 2000 yr time span sounded cool; and the Gamecube was going through its first year droughts. Answer your questions?

Whoa, you sound like your being interrogated there.

Yes splendidly! But I am curious if you liked it. You just told me that you got it and why not if you enjoyed it. But I don't want you to feel pressured answer if you want or not.

I'm just joking, hoke I don't offend you.

I bought it with my Gamecube back in 2002. I got it because I needed another game beside Animal Crossing and Mario Sunshine and wanted something darker. I really liked the name and the cover so I got it instead of Resident Evil 0. I know that's a pretty pathetic reason but I was in the army at the time and didn't have regular internet access so I had no knowledge of any Gamecube games beside Animal Crossing and Mario. I played through it and no I don't really see why people consider it so great. The story was stupid, the combat was lame, the levels were way too linear, and the puzzles were too easy.

Thanks for saying that! So many people would write in who didn't like it and just say "I didn't like it" and that's it. It is cool that you gave the "why."

Yeah one reason I picked it up was because of the Darker theme. I also had, had some poor experiences with Resident Evil's that is one reson why I never considered buying a Resident Evil game until RE4 came along.

But we differ on our enjoyment of the game, obviously.

What are your favorite games buy the way?

Out of the last 2 generations (in no particular order) anything with the Legend of Zelda, Civilization IV, KotOR 1&2, New Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart DS, Animal Crossing:WW, Advance Wars, Halo, Call of Duty 1&4, Metroid Prime 1&3, MLB Power Pros, RE4, Z&W, Burnout, the Europa Univeralis series.

How do you like Call of Duty 4? I want it. Their are a lot of games on your list that I wanted to play but never bought. Zelda's and the MP's most definitely. Also do you like Fire Emblem? From that game it has inspired me to want to try the RTS games like Civil. IV but I haven't worked up the nerve I bet there are a ton of rules.

Cool Beans! It's $14 dollars on HALF/EBAY. You probably could find it even cheaper at Game Stop.
