Kotaku has a hands on up. They claim that frame rate problems are rampant throughout, even in portal.

If you want the best deal in PC history, get The Orange Box.  If you want the most innovative feature set for a console FPS, get UT3.  If you want more of a platformer, get Uncharted.  

I hope you already played Ratchet as well.  I'd never played a game in the series but I see what all the fuss was about now.  Some truly great options this holiday season, if not quite as high profile as the other 2 systems.

EA just did the port, and by all recent reports they did a good job. If you want quality games out of EA in the future, support the games they do right.

Then support the things they do do right. If this port comes out good, buy it. Send a message to EA that you'll buy good games from them but not crappy ones, and that's what you'll get. More good games. Don't you want games like Spore (currently only set for Wii, DS, and PC)? Mass Effect and its sequels? If you want the good games like that, then buy a game when they do it right.


You make some great points here.  Show EA that you will buy their good ports.  Also, help show Valve that the PS3 isn't something they should ignore.

This is all henging on the port being good.  I'm playing it on the PC, but I hope it's good.

That's actually a really good question. I'm not sure how you can control a game that fast with a joystick. I'm not really sure people who want this game know how fast it is. Take the speed of the Killzone footage and double it. You may be right though. They may be toning down the speed to accomodate joystick controls.


The game supports keyboard and mouse for PS3.  From everything I've heard (and I'm a few weeks behind on 1UP and IGN podcasts), the game runs on the PS3 exactly as it does on the PC.  That's great news, too.  The Unreal engine problems need to get solved on the PS3.

hmmm, Im still considering wether to buy this or not. TF2 EP1&2 tempt me alot.

UT3 is not my type of game, after seeing the ps3 gameplay vids on GT...

The fast pace gets me dizzy.

Does anyone have a clear cut view as to how the quality will be? Is there any CURRENT review on the game? I'd LOVE to own orange box but if EA did a shoddy port AGAIN, I won't be purchasing. Mr Rein will get my money this Christmas (DAMN YOU TO HELL HAZE >< I WANT YOU! )
