Thanks for the chart.  Man, if GT5 keeps picking up it may be able to outpace MW2's PS3 pre-orders.  Black Ops is also looking to be bigger than MW2.

if i may be so bold as to extrapolate to week 12 - it looks like both CoD black ops and GT is going to track higher than MW2.  that's interesting cause it looks like halo and CoD black ops is going to track under MW2 on the 360.  (which to be fair is a much higher goal post). a sign of halo/CoD eating each others sales?

Look it doesn't really matter if GT5 sells 2m - 3m or more FW the skeptics will keep on going then when they are proven wrong they'll claim like it was about in line to what they expect or worst(LOL), like I said they never learn they did the same with PS3 slim launch,Heavy rain(remember the HEAVY RAIN will fail threads?) and Uncharted 2 sales especially Unharted 2 as the pre orders for this game wasn't that high in NA as well and look how well it did.

I hope MOH does good for the 360, considering that's what I plan on getting it for purely because most of my friends have that, but I could always get it for PS3 I guess.

Why does it matter if it does better on 360 over PS3?  If most of your friends have a 360, get it on the 360 so you can play with them.  Or you could just convince them to get a PS3.

gt5 need to sell 15 million to look impressive.

it is 6-7 years in the making, it has 5-6 times budget than other big budget racing games.

so if it is only sell 1 mil-1.5 mil in USA then somethind is wrong.

Very impressed with Starcraft 2.

give us a break.GT5 had 60 million budget and forza3 (also turn 10 has more employees)had easily 20-30 millions, thats just 2,3x more, besides gt5 ll have 2,3x bigger FW so i just dont see point in ur post.

GT4 was released in 2005, 5 years ago and polyphony had released GTPSP, tourist trophy and GTHD in between

It's a bit early to be predicting lifetime sales but based on the current preorder trend GT5 is going to demolish GT4 in Americas. Also keep in mind GT5 will probably have a better preorder to first week ratio than MW2 (PS3) since it will have console bundles, possibly with the white PS3 if Sony is smart.
