Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Wii Fit Prices Raised on Amazon?

The price on amazon is ¥ 14,800. Isn't that well above list price? That's like $134 US. I've never seen Amazon do that kind price extortion before.

Usually I see secondary vendors increasing the price. Amazon usually sticks with list price. At least in the USA they do.

according to this article:
it was the topseller last week> I think we can pretty much agree with it also costing more that it's selling a lot and amazon wants to make more money from it :)

I have lost all respect for Amazon. The fact that Best Buy has hundreds of Wiis in stock, yet Amazon lets people sell used ones for double the price of a new one is just un-called for. Some of there prices are ok from time to time, but I can find better always.

Lots of times I see amazon have a higher price than normal, especially for things they can't keep in stock. Generally it's pretty obvious when it's not directly from amazon, but sometimes you can't tell except by the higher price if it's one of their teir 1 partners. You just have to make sure you check the price when you check-out... I am sure the price will come down to normal once supply catches up with demand...

It's wii fit.

Yeah, Amazon is evil.  That must be where I buy so many games there without sales tax and for much less than they go for at Best Buy.  Oh, and when did you see 100s of Wiis at Best Buy?  My store (Costco) sold a whole pallet of bundled Wiis in a couple hours recently and of all the times I've been in Best Buy I've seen less than a 1/2 dozen Wiis (the amount I have seen total since launch).

Yep it is, mine is even canceled while I ordered and paid more than a month ago, but its entirely sold out. Looking at Play Asia the board his risen to 160USD excluding shipping. I'm sorry, but I'm most definitely not willing to pay that kind of amount of money for that. I've asked the seller to contact me as soon as they're back in stock. Its not like I'm desperate to get it asap. 1 Month later doesn't kill me
