It was just a PSP Mini but, when I went to copy it, the game started playing on my PS3! When did this start!?! What I'm getting at is that, instead of porting a portable game to the most powerful home console on the market, Sony should just go ahead and make ALL PSP games playable on the PS3. It would go a long way towards helping PSP game sales, PSP console sales, and strenghening the link between the PSP and the PS3. |
Hmmm... What I would like is more to be able to take my PS3 games on the move (not on the Move), so for ModNation Racers, you buy one game and you get the full PS3 game and the adjusted PSP game, rather than just play a PSP game on a huge screen. Of course, the problem here is that Sony won't get any money for PSP software sales if it is like this, unless they charge an extra $10 for a PSP unlock code or something, that allows you to get the PSP version. This could be extended to sports games as well and other games on PS3 and PSP. Combined with a cheaper PSPgo, I really think that it could boost the PSP and probably give more money to Sony
As for PSP only games, I think that being able to play them on a big screen is okay, but I am not sure the experience would actually be that good...

Minis are playable on PS3 also...didn't you notice the "saved data - minis" in the xmb ? |
Didn't notice it until yesterday. Pretty sweet, if you ask me. Now, give me the option to play ALL of my downloaded PSP titles!!
if they make ps2 games playable on ps3 also, imagine how many ps3 they can sell with that?

I know it was a cost saving measure but cutting the PS2 backwards compatiblity from the PS3 was a serious fuck up, in my opinion. For that reason and that reason alone, I will NEVER part with my 80GB BC PS3!! I have more PS2 titles than any other console ever (well, maybe not the PS1) and having access to them is still a big deal, to me.

THIS THIS THIS! Sony and developers would make a bundle if they just allowed the games to be playable on the PS3. But how would they go about making it stretch on the screen?

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
Fact it bombed heavily on the western markets pretty much secured PSN version for PS3, I believe...
