Odd ordering if so. Why would EA not submit the version that clearly exists and is fully playable before versions that no-one was previously aware of?

 

I'm wondering if this isn't different, an XBL/PSN game, possibly even a port of the original as opposed to a new product.

Guys, PS3 and 360 are getting the old version of NBA Jam. While Wii gets the new one.

It is unclear whether or not these are (a) ports of the Wii game or (b) DL versions of the original game.

i'm going to go with it is the same game but on the wii it is a $50 disc release while on the ps360 it is a $15 downloadable.

yeah pretty much this. OR it's gonna be added on to another game as bonus content like with Dead Space: Extraction

I predict that it will be a pretty crappy and dated game for all three systems. 

Unfortunately, it will sell extremely well on the 360 and PS3 and get like 17 sequels.  On the flip side, it will do poorly on the Wii and will be used as an example for the argument that quality sports games can't sell on the little white box.
