It's just that kirby is making fun of twestern for making fun of you for your typu where he himself made one XD

well he usually picks on bad grammer...

God I hope you know I did that on purpose, I even italicized to emphasize I knew I made a typo. :-p

So you attack non native english people on it?

Absolutely, I am a jerk after all.

-edit-
And I don't nitpick every little grammatical and spelling error, but some things like 3th (especially in the thread title) you can't but help have a laugh at. You should also notice that my original comment wasn't exactly mean spirited.

Apsolutely not. What company tries to lessen their sales to enhance others. 1st party games are in competition with 3rd party games on the same console for sales. It's a business not a help program haha.

you forget that nintendo actually gains from the sales for m & s as well?

Yea but I bet they gain more by selling games they've published.  Games on the same platform is pure competition.  Games from EA on Wii are in direct competition with games from Activision, Ubisoft, and Nintendo on the Wii.  Just how it works.

Actually Nintendo is diverting disc production to 3rd parties and sacrificing their own sales, even that it sounds so unbelievable to some. Think about it, they have contracts made already about the games, Nintendo knows that they need 3rd parties and therefor Nintendo needs to have good relations to them. Iwata brought a different way of thinking with him to Nintendo, which, by Iwatas words, is that earlier Nintendo saw them making a playground (the console), what the 3rd parties just come to take advantage of, but nowdays Nintendo sees 3rd parties as business partners* (or something like that, and that was said at the time of GC launch). So in order to keep 3rd parties on Wii, they need to keep 3rd parties happy. And if it means delaying one or two games by couple of months or keep one of their biggest titles sales lower for a moment when it eventually sells as good as without supply problems, it definately is worth it to Nintendo. *bolded for Zucas

SMG is back in stock at amazon.de. I'm sure there's no conspiracy, just very high demand for this game. Wii Remotes and Wii Play are also constantly sold out (even in countries where the Wii doesn't sell out often).

However, I managed to snag a copy of Wii Play for 33.73 ¬ including shipping at amazon.de a few days ago (it normally retails for 50 ¬ ). I honestly don't know why amazon does these great promotions on items which always sell out, but I obviously welcome the deals :)

Titles that sell out, propably make good money, so they can afford it because of high volume. And if something sells out, when someone else has the product, with a good deal, people will wait until the product is available. It's a lot better to make less money, than no money at all. And besides, this way Amazon will get people to visit their site, which means that they may come some other time and buy something else too.

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

The core of their problem with 3rd parties in the past was Yamauchi. Thankfully, Iwata is very different from Yamauchi's "DEATH TO 3RD PARTIES" strategy.

Makes very good business sense, if you want third parties to throw more support at your platform then dont compete with them at every level - this is why I want titles like Wii Fit,  Wii Music etc to succeed  as they are unique and are genuine system sellers thus allowing Nintendo unique titles to get systems off the shelf and leaving third parties to enjoy some success with Nintendo wading in with just enough original style if you like first party titles  to keep everyone happy and make some big money off them in the process. I t's these little gestures that will drag the quality of Wii third party titles up

"With the DS, it's fair to say that Nintendo stepped out of the technical race and went for a feature differentiation with the touch screen, but I fear that it won't have a lasting impact beyond that of a gimmick - so the long-lasting appeal of the platform is at peril as a direct result of that." - Phil Harrison, Sony

Or Nintendo just understimated demand. 500k for the first week in the U.S. was the highest entry week for a mario. I could guess that the same thing is true for Europe (about 200k is the highest week).

Europe wasn't exactly Nintendo Console lovers (but handhelds). Because of the production shortage they may decided long ago how much to produce, and after seeing that preorders are higher than initial supply there wasn't any production capacity left to produce more. Galaxy sold nearly 1 Million copies in US+EU in its first week (same launch week), according to ioi's data. And even if some think thats a failure, it is not, thats a really really really nice number for a mario first week.

Hopefully Nintendo can supply more in the short future, because Galaxy is a good gift game. Having supply to meet demand before christmass would be really good.

And the demand for this game must be high. 3 week on sale, nearly no drop in sales. It is doing outstanding.

You're right Just_Ben it is a nice gift game and it would be nice if Supply does meet demand but even though i'll never buy mario and sonic - I find it kinda refreshing that it's above SMG in the UK charts at the moment.

I guess this is the same as whenever I see any Wii charts I immediately look for how the 3rd parties are doing, thats where i'm hoping the Wii proves itself this xmas and I really hope Capcom, Ubisoft, Activision, Sega etc all do really well.
