i mentioned them to make the list larger and the author talked about gears and halo for the 360 but bungie and epic have and are making games for the PS3 so there not 1st party anymore and i feel those are and will be big titles like gears and halo are

I agree that PS3 titles try to push the graphics to the limits and games like U2,GOW3 and Killzone2 are really beautiful but imo they always seems to miss somethin.I dont know what is it but gears and other TPS feels way better than uncharted,Prototype and Red Faction feels better than Infamous and Killzone is missin somethin cuz Resitance and some other FPS feels better too (hope the third one is gonna take care of that).

I like Sony but this gen their new titles arent really the God of War,Twisted Metal,Syphon Filter and the Jak of previous generation.Those games were great and I dont know why it takes them so much times to bring them all back.

I know sony fans like to act like Uncharted is so great but the platforming sucks(cant beat tomb raider) and the whole game just feel like a movie to me,not what I want when I play a game.Its a shame to me that Naughty Dog forgot all about Jak.Insomniac made Resistance but at least they never 4got about Ratchet.

Just my thoughts on Sony this gen,not a big deal but Im a little disappointed

so the author is a moron then.  having a topic about first party and then going off and talking about all games.  I saw someone else posted that some of the games listed aren't first party either.

but i see genre defining being brought up, please enlighten me on how some of those defined a genre?

Not to mention Insomniac isn't first party nor was Media Molecule for the first Little Big Planet, hell the game was pitched to Nintendo first and rejected by everyone at Sony except for good ol' Phil who pushed it on everyone else lol

Pretty terrible article that doesn't even have it's facts straight it's just like BHR adding in more Konami and Rockstar games, maybe if the article said Sony publishing is leading the way it'd be more accurate cause Sony is trying to support companies making games for their platform by publishing their titles, but even then the article doesn't do much to say why these games are leading the way other than the infamous 2 interview about how technically advanced the PS3 is, but pushing games on a technical level isn't doing much other than driving costs up and adding a few extra details to games, technically with work you could make inFamous 2 on 360 and take away draw distance, texture detail, and fewer polygons and you could put it on Wii with the same game play lol

Commercially nintendo has had the greatest success but no doubt sony has made the best first party games *cough* demons souls *cough*

Yep that's the direction of gaming and btw the cooking mama games are fun it's not like the game is teaching people that this is how life should be, if anything it's simply playing toward the typical girls idea of playing house and get them into playing games

we should keep a list of all the games that people keep saying are first party and are not.  i bet more games have been listed in this topic so far that are not first party that are first party

Sony funded and the game and owns the IP. If demons souls isn't first party then neither is Halo or Metroid: Other M.
