we probably didn't have pre-order charts then
but SIMS3 would come close

Not in overall first week sales. Sims 3 sold 1.4 million first week according to wiki (I wish this site actively tracked pc retails sales). Which obviously is a massive opening but as ioi said, Starcraft 2 could very well outsell that in Asia alone (at around 1.5 million), thats not even taking into account the rest of the world, where it should handily sell more then that again. The only thing that I can think of that comes close is the last wow expansion. Which sold 2.8 million copies on the first day of release.
WoW: Cataclysm later this year should also be up there with the biggest ever for PC.
With Starcraft and WoW leading the way, it's a big big year for PC that's for sure.

That's a pretty obvious statement. Call of Duty is multiplatform.

I know
but, as I have said before, CoD killed Halo on console and outside the, neverthless massive, Xbox360 crowd that love the Halo franchise, the FPS that matters on console, in general, is Call of Duty.
Releasing Halo Reach on PS3 will not change much to the CoD domination.
that was my point.
Time to Work !

That may be due to the FFXIV release date.
XIV will never overtake WoW, but it is stealing some of there players. Hopefully not the 2 year old brats.

I really doubt any of these negative numbers actually indicate people cancelling preorders. Just like when the sales numbers get adjusted it doesn't mean people returned or purchased a ton that week.
