Some big jumps for some games from last week!

However GT5 went down by 2k. For whatever reasons the person who does the pre-order charts has decided to ignore Gt5 release date for the 3rd week in a row.

But for those who want to compare it to other games this week marks the 17th week until release for it.

At 17th week Halo reach was at 240k as you can see from Giggs' chart.

At this point how much is expected from GT5? Its always been bigger then GOW in NA, can it pass 1 million week 1? Since GOW3 did over 800k. GT4 sold 775k first week in NA and now a days big games are more front loaded.

Why does Golden sun have 22,517 preorders when the release date hasn't even been hinted yet while DQ IX has only 29,869 and it comes out in 2 weeks? Does Golden sun really look that much better then DQ because I didn't really see it from the game trailers of it.

GT5 may have not as a big star as GOW3 but it will have bigger legs...

and i think is the kind of game which gets more preorders in the last weeks

Expect FFXIV PC version to have a big boost next week. Release date was announced and everyone has been going bonkers for pre-ordering the C.E.

Zelda has over 20,000 pre-orders and it's not even out till sometime in 2011, Wish metroid other m was i nthe top 10, still it got a increase in pre-orders, I expect over 200,000 weeks one.

This is Americas preorder charts.

If we analyze the numbers, we see Halo 1-3 as well as ODST has Americas sales accounting for 72-80% of its total sales.

For GT we see americas sales for GT-GT4 plus prologue has between 20-30% sans GT3 A-spec which launched with a bundle in 2001.

WW id say theyre a good comparison, but honestly comparing preorders for a racing simulator on PS3 against Halo in America as some type of benchmark is the defination of lame, imo.

Starcraft 2 is going to be huge.

i think Gran Turismo 5 will pass the 1M mark easily in America...but the real sales of GT5 are in Europe...
