All I care for is HoMaM 1 - 3, pretty much the pinnacle of PC turn based strategy games. The feeling about old HoMaM games I've never felt replicated in any other turn based strategy, including Civilization.

They are responsible for Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing.  On their website (they are now out of business) they bragged about how brilliant American management, plus cheap Russian coders was a win-win, and would maximize profits for everyone. 

Derek Smart's studio that made Battlecruiser 3000AD ranked right up there also.  After the fiasco was all over, Derek gave an interview and say that, when he started, he didn't even know how to program.
