btw after I changed the AA to application controlled, I got about 4533, 2GB on video card ftw I guess, might as well leave it on. 1280x720 MAX EDAA was 5081 lol, and I'm doing all these while a 1280x720p video is being encoded at 30FPS in real time in the background at 2500kb/s streaming to a live broadcast server. So yeah, I don't think modern PCs needs to worry too much about running FF14. My CPU also never went to 100%, ever.

ps: I'm running dual monitor atm so it's showing 2 video cards, there is no crossfire of any kind.

score 4000 on low. and 2400 on high.

I think the few years ago is the problem, should have gone i7 if he was gonna get AMD imo. Modern PC games are also more video card dependant, you can see what I have in my sig, the biggest difference is most likely the video card.

Without anything running in the background, the score is 4483 at 1080p with 8x EDAA and 16x AF and never below 60 FPS lol, it didn't even really touch the CPU since I was at about 21% during action, it's mostly video card doing the work. looking good =D. I'm FF14 ready I guess haha.

Well, I ain't missing much. After FFX, I was done with the series. FFX was great, but the direction they took FFXI was a lost cause because a Final Fantasy MMORPG has no chance of competing with the World of Warcraft.

If I ever want to play a Final Fantasy game, then I go back and play Final Fantasy 3 (different series number in Japan). Final Fantasy 3 was the pinnacle along with Final Fantasy 7. The rest have not sparked my interest because the gameplay is still the turn based crap, which I found hard to enjoy once I started playing the innately superior WRPGS such as Diablo, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Legacy of Kain, and Fable series.

Fallout may be turn-based but it does not have the same "Attack, Magic, Item" menu that has been in place in Final Fantasy games since the original Final Fantasy.

What does a "closed" environment mean? 

Unfortunately, not everyone owns a PS3 and its the poorest selling Playstation console ever. Perhaps if the PS3 dominated like past Sony consoles this wouldn't have happened. 1.4 million is a very respectable number in my opinion. I mean what other JRPG sold 1.4 million this gen? And the game is still selling. It'll eventually hit 2 million after price cuts, holiday sales boost, etc.

I could argue putting games like Bioshock 2, Dragon Age, and Borderlands on the PS3 was pointless because they would have sold better as 360 exclusives. But who gives a damn? More people got to play them and the developers made their money. If you still want to complain, just blame Sony for releasing an expensive console.

Now sticking to the topic. I don't know who to side with on this. I wish MS would just give in but I also wish SE wouldn't screw 360 owners and just bring it over.

IMO it wont do great numbers on the PS3. So putting it on the 360 would be stupid. I dunno, but 13 sold pretty badly all around on the 360,no matter what other proof anyone else is bringing. Yes it was not released in Japan but anyone who thinks it would have done more then 300k there, is just fooling himslef.

Square needs to stabilize its IPs, and it seems that at this point every one of them are doing better on Sony and Nintendo platforms, including most Eidos properties...
