1. Fix the online service.

2. Make the camera MP better.

3. Make the touch screen multi-touch like iPod Touch and iPhone.

4. Have a 3DSware store.

5. Lots of internal memory, probably like 100 GB. (If iPod can do it, so can 3DS.)

6. Make it harder to hack and pirate on it.

7. Video chat/Pictochat/Text

8. Have Adobe Flash.

9. Let it have multitasking so we can do more than 1 thing at once like iPhone 4.

10. Make 2 SKUs: regular, phone.

If it has everything I listed than this will be perfect.

I basically agree with #1, #3 would be worthwhile if it was cost effective, I expect #4 and #6 are high priorities for Nintendo, #7 I think is conditional on limiting it to people you know, #2 #8 and #9 are pointless for a gaming system, #5 won’t happen because micro hard-drives have an insane failure rate and flash at that size is super expensive, and if you really want #10 buy an iPhone.

but its also a multimedia device

My suggestions are:

1.) A nice size hard drive where we can store our games and 3D movies

2.) An upgraded, innovative, and effective online system.

That's it. Everything else is awesome.

Flash. Must. Die.

While I'm still not that 100% happy its only flip-able

And keep it that way. It protects the screens w/o having some silly case protection that only add to the weight and dimension.

I want an always-on online model more like the Xbox360's Live, and an Achievement system incorporated into the thing.  If it's true that Nintendo sought adivice from developers, it's possible some of them may have mentioned that.  Let's hope.

Also, I really want to know the size limit on the 3DS cards.  DS cards are slighly larger than SD cards and those things can reach 32 Gigabytes in size.  I sincerely hope that 3DS cards can handle at least 10 or 16 Gigabytes, which is something like 250,000 times larger than current DS card sizes.  DS cards maxed at a measly 2 Gigabits.  Roughly 4 times the maximum N64 game.

They are trying to innovate the online system with the 3DS. Also, are you talking about 3DS game cards? You can put an SD card so it can have at least 32GB of storage.  DS game cards were able to hold 512MB max. 3DS game cards can now hold 2GB minimum of game storage. N64 cardtridge were able to hold 256MB of space max.

Awesome, lets all have to fork out $1000 for a 3DS :)

I'm seeing a lot of suggestions that can be summed up as "turn it into an iphone" and I wonder if these people realize that they're talking about a real gaming device and not a phone that can also play games.

4. It looks a little bit too fat, slim size it Nintendo! Don't make me wait 2 or 1 more year for a light one :

DS Phat: 148.7 mm

DSL: 133 mm

DSi: 137 mm

3DS: 130 mm

It's 6% smaller than a Lite (when you consider all 3 dimensions, not just length) You already want a 3DS Lite? lol

This is primarily a handheld gaming device. Not an Iphone. An Iphone is a primary phone device with additional extras like gaming and so forth to try breach different markets. Nintendo had none of what most people are asking for here on the DS or DS lite and still managed to sell 100 million copies.

These additional extras the likes of sony and microsoft are adding into their home consoles are fantastic, but they will not succeed on a handheld device. Watching movies is a great idea, but more as a novelty idea. No one really wants to watch full movies on a handheld gaming device. Its handy for long trips etc but it never really took off. Remember UMDS anyone???? total failure. why would nintendo try replicate that failure.?

Nintendo always try to sell consoles at an affordable price and make a profit on each system sold , so unless you want nintendo to totally change that policy and charge about 599 for this machine, your best off getting used to whats already been confirmed.

I dont like the idea of the second analogue stick, not needed with the touch screen there. and its too awkwardly positioned. I would like better web browsing with flash though. or an equivelant. but thats it. the rest looks amazing to me.

If you really really really want all of these things listed then your better off waiting for the psp2. lets face it, its gonna have everything the 3ds has since Sony havent an original taught in their heads lately and they will lavish you with useless extras , charge a fortune and make you think your getting value for money.

PS: im not a nintendo fanboy. I love nintendo of course, but i own an Xbox 360, PS3, PSP, DS and Wii. I love gaming, across all platforms.

I would like the camera resolution to be higher. Other than that I think the 3DS is fine the way it us until the inevitable 3DSLite arrives in 2012 or whatever.

Although it would be better if it had both screens the same size.
