If you live in Europe and were intrigued by the deals, trial games and complimentary downloads offered by the recently announced PlayStation Plus subscription plan, you might want to sign up with a quickness.
PlayStation Blog
has announced that European users who get a one-year subscription between June 29 and August 3 will get a free downloadable copy ofLittleBigPlanet, which won't just be tied to their PS+ account. In other words, if you cancel your subscription, the game will still be yours, unlike all the other freebies to which subscribers will have access.

Sweet, a free copy of a game that I've owned for a year and a half.

The majority of the demographic they're going for will own LBP already.

How will this work? LBP is a 50gig game, so they won't let you download it. Does that mean they're going to ship LBP to whoever subscribed? Im confused..

You get three free months of the service. Don't you dare complain.

We get a free copy of a two year old game, which is now available for £10 or so.

Well it's not that bad of a deal considering that it's not tied to the PS subscription.

LBP is still 30 bucks on Amazon.ca so yeah, good deal.

I bought it for £7.99 which i would guess is $14

this

actually... can you slip VAST in frony of majority please.

I know what you mean, but its still a pretty good deal for those who don't own it, and for those who do own it already you can now trade in your copy towards a new game

Also i think Sony look at it like this in the EU 1.6 million copies of little big planet sold when there are to 16 million ps3's sold in the EU, so really only 10% of Eu ps3 owners have LBP

I'm interested in PlayStation Plus but I'm not interested in LBP. It's cool that I'll get LBP for free if I sign up but it's not a deal maker for me.

zaMy, you don't have to believe everything you read on the internet.

LBP is not a 50GB game, I know this because I have personally checked the disc size. LBP is only 8GB, and I believe with a good compression, Sony could reduce its size to below 5GB on PSN.
