As of right now, pretty much all the Move stuff is about to drop out of the top 100.  Kinect is still around number 10-15 I think.

Kinect isn't available for pre-order yet outside of the US afaik.

I dont mean point out the elephant in the room. but sales dont suggest either the move or kinect will be good. even if they sell by the millions they might still be shite. you just need to look at the wii and the amount of shovelware for it to see that people will buy rubbish!!!

That's got absolutely nothing to do with the reason why people are discrediting this. Seriously, with all due respect, you need to look at the bigger picture here.

Preorders better than 360 Slim? This is not exactly a shock, nor is it that amazing. The Slim was only available for preorder for four weeks at most and its an entire console. Maybe Kinect will move 500-600k in preorder sales, not staggering by any means and I still think that after the initial surge of nerds have bought it, retailers will be hard pressed to make more casual customers buy this in stores at that price.

We'll see how it does, but I'm still sticking with my guns; Kinect and Move will not be a great success.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that there will be closer to 1 million pre-orders.  While that doesn't sound like a lot compared to games and the like, its a $150.00 product so thats a lot of cash to roll around with.  I am pretty sure I could go swimming in it like Scrooge McDuck from duck tales.

Since I am white and can't dance, my first purchase for it will obviously be Dance Central.    And I will pick up a excercise  game for both me and the wife.  So  if those 2 are decent enough I think it will be well worth the money.  Not to mention being able to use my hands to scroll through netflix.

Well now that it comes with a game your paying $100 for it, and most people were willing to pay for that without a game.

If you look at http://www.game.co.uk/ front page, who are the biggest gaming store in UK (probably europe too) they have so much stuff on there about Kinect. Huge pictures for everything 360. Then at the bottom there is this tiny picture for Move.

So while Amazon can't be used as a tester for how each will do i think Game can be. Because they are obviously pushing Kinect harder then they are Move. Which obviously means they have more faith in it to make them money.Which is what it is all about.

The haters can hate and try and have a go but what the op say's is basically correct. All sources lead to there being more pre-orders for Kinect. Even on this website the two games that come with each platform have Kinect Sports ahead of Champions in pre-orders.

I am starting to think Move is going to bomb hard. The media are hyping Kinect a lot. There are news stories even on the main news here, have not seen a thing for move. Sony need to start generating awareness for it bigtime.

360 is huge in the UK, here in Norway you'll find that the 360 gets less shelfspace, media coverage and general love than the PS3 for instance, the Wii is not getting a whole lot of attention either. So this varies. As it stands, the 360 is huge in in NA and UK but only decent in most of the world and very, very poor in Japan whereas the Wii is pretty much big everywhere and the PS3 is decent in NA and pretty big in the rest of the world. Like I said; the UK is not representative for all of Europe, there's a reason its being singled out as a market on its own, almost like an entire territory.
