Maybe Kinect will move 500-600k in preorder sales, not staggering by any means and I still think that after the initial surge of nerds have bought it, retailers will be hard pressed to make more casual customers buy this in stores at that price. We'll see how it does, but I'm still sticking with my guns; Kinect and Move will not be a great success. |
I am going to go out on a limb here and say that there will be closer to 1 million pre-orders. While that doesn't sound like a lot compared to games and the like, its a $150.00 product so thats a lot of cash to roll around with. I am pretty sure I could go swimming in it like Scrooge McDuck from duck tales.
Since I am white and can't dance, my first purchase for it will obviously be Dance Central. And I will pick up a excercise game for both me and the wife. So if those 2 are decent enough I think it will be well worth the money. Not to mention being able to use my hands to scroll through netflix.
